The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of spoon leaf extract (Plantago major L.) in controlling blood sugar levels in rabbits (Nesalogus betscheri). Specific targets of this study to see how far the influence of spoon leaf extract in controlling blood sugar levels in rabbits. Leaves spoon extraction method using maseration method is by soaking a number of leaves in ethanol 70%. The research design using factorial RAL with the first factor was the percentage of spoon leaf extract (0, 10%, 15%, 20%) and the second factor was the time of administration (60, 90 and 120 minutes). In the research implementation of rabbit samples divided into 2 parts, namely the first group of rabbits that fasting for 10 hours and the second group in the induction with sugar solution. This research was conducted in laboratory of STIKes Helvetia, Medan for 6 months. In addition, this study also uses blood glucose-lowering drugs (glibenclamid) as a standard. Parameters observed, blood sugar levels and blood pressure.
