FACTORS RELATED TO POST-MOTHER KNOWLEDGE OF SIGNS DANGER SIGNS IN THE PAPER PUSKESMAS AREA IN VILLAGE KRAGILAN IN 2018

The puerperal period is the period after childbirth and the birth of a baby and the membrane given to
restore uterine organs such as before pregnancy with a period of approximately 6 weeks. Based on the initial
survey in Kragilan Village there were 10 postpartum mothers and 8 postpartum mothers who did not know the
danger signs during the postpartum period 2.
This study aims to determine the factors associated with the knowledge of postpartum mothers about the
signs of danger during childbirth in the area of Puskesmas in Kragilan Village in 2018
This analytic survey research method uses cross sectional, the population in this study is all postpartum
mothers about danger signs during childbirth in the Health Center Area in Kragilan Village in 2018 with a total
of 34 people. In this study using total sampling. Analysis of the data used in this study used Univariate and
Bivariate
Univariate statistical test results showed that of 34 postpartum mothers respondents based on a good level
of knowledge of 30 respondents (88.2), and a minority of postpartum mothers with sufficient knowledge of 4
respondents (11.8). And the bivariate results show that there is a relationship between age and knowledge of
danger signs in the puerperium with a value of p (value) = 0.001 <α = 0.05 and there is no relationship between
education with the knowledge of the puerperal mother about the signs of danger during childbirth . With the
results of the value of p (value) = 1,000>α = 0.05. And there is no relationship between parity with postpartum
mother's knowledge about the signs of danger during the puerperium. With a value of p (value) = 0.705>α =
0.05 and there is no relationship between the source of information with the knowledge of the puerperal mother
about the signs of danger during the puerperium. With a value of p (value) = 0.595>α = 0.05
It is hoped that there will need to be an increase in knowledge of postpartum mothers from health workers
through counseling and counseling about knowledge of danger signs during the puerperium so that the community
has prepared compilations to overcome the problem.
