Nutrition (nutrients) are the chemical bonds that the body needs to perform its function, ie produce energy, build and maintain the network, as well as regulate the process of life. Nutrition is one of the quality of human resources, caused by malnutrition in children can cause serious effects that failure is not optimal growth and development and intelligence. In a preliminary survey of Central Aceh region are malnourished children under five by 268 (2.38%) of the number of infants who weighed with early signs of weight below the red lines or BGM.


This study aims to analyze the relationship between mother's knowledge, child birth weight, weaning age and family economics with nutritional status of children. The study design was cross-sectional. Sample was 87 mothers of children aged 0-2 years were taken in the total population sampling analysis of test data by using multiple logistic regression.


The results showed that there are significant knowledge variable (p = 0.004), birth weight children (p = 0.015), and family economics (p = 0.007) on the nutritional status of children aged 0-2 years. And the variables that most affect the nutritional status of the children aged 0-2 years is a with birth weight children value of the coefficient (B = 11,785 Ekp).


the head of the health department central Aceh authorities need to formulate a policy on the increase socialization in public, especially mothers with toddlers in order to seek self-enhancing nutritional knowledge of local health workers.
