Integrated Health Care for elderly is a community service center program through community participation activities. It was found that the number of visit the elderly integrated health care every month was only about 7- 8% from the whole number of the elderly in Pasar Onan Hurlang sub-district, Kolang Nauli sub-district and Satahi Nauli village. The research aimed to analyze the factors that affect the utilization of the elderly integrated health care in Kolang District of Tapanuli Tengah Regency in 2015.



This research used analytical method with cross sectional approach. The population is all of the pre-elderly and the elderly from three villages in Kolang district. The samples were 87 elderly selected by using simple random sampling technique. Data were obtained through questionnaires, and visit reportsat the elderly integrated health care. Data were analyzed with the stages of univariate, bivariate analysis using the Fisher’s Exact test and multivariate analysis using multiple logistic regression analysis test at 95% significant level.



Fisher’s Exact test results showed that age, attitude, family support, the role of health worker/cadres affected utilization of the elderly integrated health care. Multivariate test results showed that family support was the dominant factor of the utilization of the ederly integrated health care followed by attitudes and gender.



It is recommended to the health workers/cadres that they should improve the quality of service and information about the benefits of the elderly integrated health care.
