Pendahuluan : kanker serviks merupakan tumor ganas yang tumbuh di dalam leher rahim/serviks (bagian terendah leher rahim yang menempel pada puncak vagina). Kanker serviks biasanya menyerang wanita 35-55 Tahun. 90% dari kanker serviks berasal dari sel skuamosa yang melapisi serviks dan 10% sisanya berasal dari sel kelenjar penghasil lendir pada saluran servikal yang menuju ke dalam rahim. Tujuan : penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan ibu tentang kanker serviks dengan pemeriksaan IVA di Puskesmas Helvetia Medan Tahun 2018. Metode : desain penelitian ini menggunakan survey analitik yang dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang datang di Puskesmas Helvetia Medan sebanyak 30 responden. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan teknik accidental sampling, di sini peneliti mengambil responden pada saat penelitian dilakukan di Puskesmas Helvetia Medan. Hasil : penelitian diperoleh yang pengetahuan cukup sebanyak 18 responden (60%) dan tidak melakukan pemeriksaan IVA sebanyak 21 responden (70%). Hasil Uji statistik menunjukkan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu tentang kanker serviks dengan pemeriksaan IVA di Puskesmas Helvetia Medan Tahun 2018 nilai p=0,02 < 0,05. Kesimpulan : dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan ibu tentang kanker serviks dengan pemeriksaan IVA di puskesmas Helvetia Medan Tahun 2018.
Deskripsi Alternatif :Introduction: k anker cervical malignant tumor is growing inside the cervix/cervical (the lowest part of the cervix that clings to the peak vagina). Cervical cancer usually strikes women 35-55 years. 90% of cervical cancer is derived from the overlying squamous cell cervical and the remaining 10% comes from mucous producing gland cells on servikal channels leading into the womb. The purpose of : this research is to know the relation of maternal knowledge about cervical cancer with an examination of IVA in Helv Clinics e tia Year 2018 Field. Methods: desain research uses surveys of analytical approach of cross sectional. The population of this research are all mothers who come in Medan Helvetia Clinic as much as 30 respondents. The sample in this research is to use the technique of accidental sampling, here researchers take the respondent at the time the research was conducted at the clinic field. Helvetia Results : the study was obtained that knowledge is quite as much as the 18 respondents (60%) and not doing as many as 21 IVA examination respondents (70%). The results of the statistical tests show there is a relationship between the mother's knowledge about cervical cancer with an examination of IVA in the Year 2018 Medan Helvetia Clinic value of p =< 0.05 0.02. Conclusion : from the research is that there is a relationship between the mother's knowledge about cervical cancer with an examination of IVA in Medan Helvetia clinic Year 2018.
