Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa tugas perkembangan secara lebih mendalam. Tugas perkembangan adalah suatu tugas yang muncul pada periode tertentu dalam kehidupan seseorang, yang kesuksesan penyelesaiannya akan mengantarkan orang tersebut kedalam bahagia, dan kegagalan penyelesaiannya akan menyebabkan orang tersebut tidak bahagia, tidak diterima oleh masyarakat, dan mengalami kesulitan dalam menjalani tugas-tugas berikutnya. Siswa SMP tergolong remaja yang berada dalam masa transisi dan proses pencarian jati diri, yang mana jika gagal maka remaja tersebut akan mengalami kebingungan dan kekacauan (confusion). Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkapkan ketercapaian tugas perkembangan siswa kelas VIII di MTS Nurul Huda Medan. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai pencapaian tugas perkembangan dalam bidang sosial. Hal-hal yang diteliti, yaitu: kepatuhan terhadap norma- norma yang berlaku, sikap terhadap orang tua, sikap terhadap teman sebaya, wawasan terhadap masalah sosial, dan pertahanan diri dari permasalahan sosial. Penelitian ini berbentuk penelitian deskriptif yang berusaha menggambarkan dan menginterpretasikan objek sesuai dengan apa adanya (Best, 1982: 119; Sukardi, 2009). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII di MTS Nurul Huda Medan yang berjumlah 71 orang, dengan menggunakan total population, dimana seluruh populasi dijadikan menjadi sampel penelitian sebanyak 71 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berbentuk Kuisioner yang berisikan pernyataan-pernyataan positif dan negatif dengan 2 pilihan alternatif jawaban, yang hasilnya dianalisis berdasarkan tafsiran persentase dan dinilai berdasarkan aspek tingkatan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pencapaian tugas perkembangan siswa MTS Nurul Huda Medan dalam bidang sosial secara keseluruhan berada pada tingkatan sangat tinggi, yakni sebesar 87, 23%. Dengan terungkapnya hasil penelitian, diharapkan membawa implikasi yang baik dalam bimbingan dan konseling maupun prestasi belajar siswa. Serta membina tugas-tugas perkembangan yang belum tercapai pada siswa, yang mempengaruhi perkembangannya menuju ke arah dewasa yang baik.
Deskripsi Alternatif :This study aims to analyze developmental tasks in more depth. A development task is a task that arises at a certain period in a person's life, the success of which will lead the person to happiness, and the failure to solve it will cause the person to be unhappy, not accepted by the community, and having difficulties in carrying out the next tasks. Middle school students are classified as adolescents who are in a period of transition and the process of searching for identity, which if it fails, the teenager will experience confusion and confusion. The purpose of this study is to reveal the achievement of the task of developing class VIII students at MTS Nurul Huda Medan. This study discusses the achievement of the tasks of development in the social field. The things studied, namely: adherence to applicable norms, attitudes toward parents, attitudes toward peers, insights into social problems, and self-defense from social problems. This research is in the form of descriptive research that seeks to describe and interpret objects according to what they are (Best, 1982: 119; Sukardi, 2009). The population in this study were all eighth grade students in MTS Nurul Huda Medan, amounting to 71 people, using a total population, where the entire population was made into a sample of 71 people. The instrument used in this study was in the form of a questionnaire containing positive and negative statements with 2 choices of alternative answers, the results of which were analyzed based on percentage interpretations and assessed based on the level aspects. The results of this study indicate that the level of achievement of the task of developing Nurul Huda Medan's MTS students in the overall social field is at a very high level, which is equal to 87, 23%. With the disclosure of the results of the study, it is expected to bring good implications in guidance and counseling and student learning achievement. As well as fostering developmental tasks that have not been achieved in students, which affects their development towards good adults.
