Latar Belakang: Perilaku merokok merupakan kegiatan yang masih banyak dilakukan oleh banyak orang. Berdasarkan aspek kesehatan, rokok mengandung 4000 zat kimia yang berbahaya bagi kesehatan, seperti nikotin yang bersifat adiktif dan tar yang bersifat karsinogenik, bahkan juga formalin. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku merokok pada remaja di SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura Tahun 2017.
Metode: Desain penelitian ini menggunakan survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 504 siswa dengan besar sampel dalam penelitian ini ditentukan dengan rumus penentuan jumlah sampel menurut Slovin yaitu 83 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah berupa kuesioner dan menggunakan uji statistik yaitu uji chi square.
Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil uji chi-square, penelitian ini menunjukkan ada pengaruh faktor pengetahuan (0,026), sikap (0,006), tindakan (0,018), fasilitas (0,024), sarana (0,004), orang tua (0,016), dan teman sebaya (0,000) terhadap perilaku merokok pada remaja. Dengan nilai probabilitas 0,000 < 0,05. Berdasarkan analisis univariat dengan uji regresi logistik berganda, faktor yang paling dominan memengaruhi perilaku merokok pada remaja adalah teman sebaya dengan besar p-value 0,000.
Kesimpulan: Semakin tinggi pengaruh teman sebaya maka semakin berat pula perilaku merokok. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah agar siswa mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang kesehatan khususnya tentang perilaku merokok untuk mencegah perilaku merokok sebagai pintu masuk penyalahgunaan narkoba.
Backround: Smoking behavior is an activity that is carried out by many people. Based on the health aspect, smoke contains 4000 chemicals that are harmful to health, such as the nicotine that is addictive and carcinogenic tar, and even formalin. This study aims to determine the factors that influence smoking behavior in adolescents at SMK Negeri 1 Tanjung Pura in 2017.
Method: This study design using analytic survey with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 504 students with the sample size in this study is determined by the formula for determining the number of samples according to Slovin that is 83 students. The instrument used was a questionnaire and use a statistical test Chi-square test.
Results: The results showed no effect of knowledge factor (0.026), attitude (0.006), action (0.018), facilities (0,024), means (0,004), parents (0.016), and peers (0,000) on smoking behavior in adolescents. With a probability value 0,000 <0,05. Based on univariate analysis with multiple logistic regression test, the most dominant factor influencing smoking behavior in adolescents is a major peers in the p-value of 0.000.
Conclusion: The higher the influence of peers, the more weight anyway smoking behavior. Suggestions from this study is that the students were able to increase their knowledge of health, especially on smoking behavior to prevent smoking behavior as an entry point for drug abuse.
