Program providing breast milk ( ASI ) has been exclusively endorsed by the government since 1990 , known as the National Movement breast milk Improvement Program ( PP - ASI ) , but a program providing breast milk ( ASI ) is not exclusive to this day also showed an increase in the significant . Aceh Provincial Health Profile data , coverage of infants receiving exclusive breastfeeding is only 33.2 % . The district with the lowest coverage is , Lhouksemawe , Sabang and Seumelue , while in Central Aceh exclusive breastfeeding rate coverage of 39.7 %.


This study is a qualitative study to analyze the experiences of mothers who are breastfeeding and have babies aged 0-6 months in 2014 Gayo society . Informants are nursing mothers with infants aged 0-6 months . Data collection with in-depth interviews and observation. The results showed that the failure is caused by exclusive breastfeeding mother and family to postpone breastfeeding mothers carry out a ritual bath to cleanse themselves . The presence of bottle-feeding the newborn , giving complementary feeding by giving rountung ( porridge made from rice extract water immersion ) , the existence of a culture of giving pencecap honey and sugar solution . The existence of the trust if breast milk contains bacteria called by the defense and the trial dena disease , health workers who provide formula to infants . Knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding is still low . Supporting factors for exclusive breastfeeding is the provision of Colostrum and IMD ( early breastfeeding initiation) . Research conclusion Exclusive breastfeeding in infants is hampered because of breastfeeding while providing milk formula and complementary feeding early. Postpartum mothers do dietary restrictions during lactation Mothers delay breastfeeding to infants before feeding her baby because the mother is obliged to shower first , early breastfeeding initiation program was not successful in increasing exclusive breastfeeding for the mother and family do not support . Mom gives colustrum to bayinya.Tingkat only limited knowledge about breastfeeding exclusively breastfed ever heard of where the mother can explain about the benefits of breastfeeding based on information from health professionals , but can not do exclusive breastfeeding . There is a belief that breast milk contains bacteria called Dena and disorders in mothers and infants during the breastfeeding period , called the trial defense The research suggests the government is improving access to those mothers , families and communities to information that is exclusive breastfeeding right and proper , in the hope that every health facility providing clinical services lactation , more enhanced role of health professionals in hospitals , birth centers and IHC in providing counseling or guidance to pregnant women , new mothers giving birth and breastfeeding mothers about the benefits of exclusive breastfeeding
