Permanent contraception (tubectomy) is a permanent method of contraception is done by tubectomy . Based on the method of contraception used in Central Aceh District, acceptor MOW is still low at 0.7 % .


This study is a qualitative research on community participation Gayo Koran in the use of permanent contraception (tubectomy) in women in Central Aceh district in 2014. The informant was a woman participant tubectomy, EFA who are married, religious leaders, FP and midwive. Data collection with in-depth interviews and observation .


The results showed that women's participation in the follow tubectomy influenced by several factors: the number of children, sex of the child who has owned, permission husband, the risk of pregnancy and delivery, side effects of contraceptives, free health programs / JKA , health workers, a sense of safety, values prevailing in society and beliefs.


For those who do not become participants tubectomy influenced by their young age, number of children they have still not liking couples absence of a husband's permission, and trust.


To improve family planning programs in particular increase in participants tubectomy BKKBN Need to increase health promotion and IEC about contraception steady. The need for improved access to family planning services with provision of family planning services close to where people live Gayo.
